This is the tileset I use, and this is the soundpack I use, both recommended to me by a friend and they're pretty neat.Ĭaves of Qud is an early access roguelike which I'd say is worth the price (even if it is a tad bit too much I think it's 15 currently). It is ASCII-based but if that is off-putting there are tilesets and sound/music packs for it.

This game does suffer from the ole having to have a wiki open while you trial and error how to play, a thing i am used to by now but other may not be. Satisfying to progress in different ways each time depending on what you have scavenged from different places, especially the type of hidden recipes you've unlocked from books you have found.
One stand out thing is vehicles, I think it has the best turn-based driving I have seen in any game you actually have to move around in. The immediate threat is bodily harm, but you still gotta survive all dealt with in a in depth way (You actually gotta balance nutrients in your diet or suffer certain types of malnutrition, this of course can be accomplished by diversifying your diet, ie: hunting usually).
